The origins of The Bangala Karaikudi date back to the year 1910. The bungalow was built in the peak of the Chettinad era. The bungalow have later changed hands and have served as clubs for various purpose.

The Bangala was transformed into a heritage stay in 1999. The family property was decided to be brought back to its former glory. After a year's hard work, the buildings with the original furniture was brought to life and doors were opened for guests. Since the heritage bungalow is a beautiful escapade into the glorious era.

The rooms are a mix of traditional Athangudi floorings with antique colonial furniture in a fascinating traditional décor.
